Organizational wiki - I use this wiki to submitt my lesson plans and collect links that are valuable to the English dept. and social studies department or CFF in general.
Journaling wiki - This wiki is the work of Tod Witman, former CFF coach at Schuylkill Valley High School. It is an excellent example of a journaling wiki using online storage of Picasa photo albums.
The following wiki is an example of blogging on a wiki. This is a fake facebook assignment using the 9 circles of Dante's Hell. Students were supplied with a template that they designed to fit the character they were placing in that particular circle of Hell. When submitting files, each file had to be distinctively named or it would rewrite the previous file.
This is a combo wiki of teacher organization and student submission. Curriculum work is given a page in the left navigation menu. Submissions are made on individual pages. Again, it is important to make the file names unique when uploading the files or the file will erase the previous file of that name.
Teacher wikis:
Insturctor to instructor collaboration wikis are informational and great places to share ideas and sources.
